For 2012 I have set myself the challenge of taking an interesting photograph every day. The photos don’t have to be technically perfect, and can be about anything (though I might set myself some short-term themes throughout the year) so could be about something notable that happened that day, or if it was a boring day I’ll have to find something interesting to shoot! The rules are simple, the photo has to be taken on the day though it can be published later, it has to be taken by me, although I can use remotes and timers, as long as I set them and I can edit them as long as I don’t distort the meaning, i.e. I can take a self portrait, but can’t make it look like I’m standing on the moon!
Have fun viewing the photos, and any suggestions for themes feel free to let me know!!

Usually when I shoot house lights its a cop out for the day, but I actually planned to get this shot before year end. Noticed it a while ago and thought it was cool.

The theme for this month’s FCC competition was triangles, and a few days earlier I heard someone commented that every shot possible had been taken of Shipquay Street. I thought bollox to that, I’ll show ‘em! Scored second place.

Tonight I was helping mum & dad bring the Christmas decorations from the roofspace. I pointed the (phone) camera at dad and by the time it fired he had managed to duck out of the way!

The Peace Bridge during some more fog. At the time I didn’t like this shot, and actually gave up after two or three shots, but when I got home and saw it full size I was much happier!

Mum & dad’s Christmas tree and their entry into Aiden’s Christmas tree competition. It only scored a participation award. Humph.

So, this is what happens when you have already started cooking the spaghetti and then realise that there is no bolognese frozen in the freezer, no thawed out mince meat and only Chicken Tonight left. Tasted better than it looks!
